BURMESE STYLE CHICKPEA PAKORA

 

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 cup rice flour 

• 1 cup cornmeal(makai ka ata)

• 1/4 cup corn flour

• 1/2 tsp. salt

• 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder

• 2 cups water

• 1 cup boiled split chickpeas

PROCEDURE:

• Take all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix them thoroughly.

• Now add water cup after the other with stirring in between. *batter at end should be a fast flowing.

• Add chickpeas and stir to mix.

• Let sit 15 minutes.

• Heat oil in a pan at medium heat.

• Stir batter before putting each fillet into frying. *frying one at a time is recommended to maintain the quality and avoid sticking.

• Fry until golden brown and crisp.
